[net.graphics] First National Meeting of YLEM

ken@turtlevax.UUCP (Ken Turkowski) (07/12/85)

<primordial stew>

Ylem (Eye-lum): 1. The primordial stuff out of which the
universe emerged. 2. An emerging group of artists who
believe that science and art enhance each other and human
	understanding.

During SIGGRAPH '85 members of Ylem frpm many parts of the country will
be in San Francisco. By reserving a conference room at a hotel through
SIGGRAPH as a "user group", we will be able to meet our distant
members. This way we will be able to see each others' work as well as
talk to each other in person.

Please join us at:

	Meridien Hotel
	room: Sauterne III
50 3rd St. (one block from Moscone center)
	San Francisco
	Wednesday, July 24th,
	1-5pm (drop-in, and free)
	(no SIGGRAPH ticket needed)

We encourage you to bring examples of your work, in whatever medium.
There will be tables and easels to put them on. Also, if you have a
15-minute presentation to make, or have something jolly that runs on a
small system or 1/2" VCR player, please let us know by July 15 so that
we can arrange for the equipment needed.
