9 _S_p_e_c_i_a_l _I_s_s_u_e _o_n _t_h_e _M_o_d_e_l_l_i_n_g _a_n_d _D_i_s_p_l_a_y _o_f _N_a_t_u_r_a_l _P_h_e_n_o_m_e_n_a
9ACM Transactions on Graphics will have a special issue on the
modelling and display of natural phenomena to be published in
July 1986. The guest editors for this issue are:
Alain Fournier, University of Toronto
William Reeves, Lucasfilm Ltd.
Papers are sollicited particularly, but not exclusively on:
-modeling techniques for natural phenomena
-display techniques for natural phenomena
-animation techniques for natural phenomena
Complete papers are due on Nov. 15, authors will be notified on
Feb. 3, and final versions will be due Mar. 11.

Note that the dates have been chosen so as to give the authors a choice between
this issue and Siggraph. The authors will be notified in case of early
rejection by Dec. 15, so they have time to submit to Siggraph.
The authors will be notified of acceptance BEFORE the refereeing process
is started for Siggraph, so that they can withdraw their paper from
consideration at Siggraph.
