Bowling Green State University has acquired _D_i_s_s_p_l_a developed
by ISSCO Graphics Software. Once we got the installation
straightened out, most of the items ran. Unfortunately, 2
items didn't and wouldn't you know those are the 2 items that
people say they want to use the most.

For those in the know, anytime we do a map projection and then
call _g_r_i_d, sooner or later, a segmentation error occurs. I
really think that this is a problem that only _t_h_e_y can solve,
but if any ideas are out there, I will be glad to hear them.

The other problem involves creating a _m_e_t_a file. This is a
device independant file of graphic commands. You can then go
and create many other programs that will invoke the driver of
your choice to plot this meta file. Whenever you execute the
          a.out file, no error occurs, but _n_o _m_e_t_a _f_i_l_e _i_s _c_r_e_a_t_e_d! I'm
sure which subroutine is causing me the trouble, but after
many calls to ISSCO, the problem has yet to be solved.

I would appreciate if any of you netlandians out there are
using this software package on UNIX 4.2 bsd, could you _P_L_E_A_S_E
get in touch with me by e-mail, phone, snail mail, or any
other means you can think of. We have exhausted almost all of
our ideas and need a little help!

          Thanks again for any help,
