Several weeks ago I posted a request for help in choosing a hi-fi vhs vcr. Thanks to the many responses. Since several people requested for a summary, I will post one once I have all the information in. One comment though: what I did was to get the Tape Recording Buying Guide '85 (from Stereo Review), which contains a list of addresses, and I wrote to the manufacturers for info. So, that's one way to go. As for what I know so far, it's rather surprizing: the ONLY vcr I found which has all the features I want is the top of the line Fisher. Most other, even top of the line units are missing usually MTS decoding, or dolby on the linear sound track, or other features I considered important. Does anybody know anything bad about Fisher vcr's ? Something doesn't sound right, since its suggested retail price is $900, well bellow other brands' prices, even with less features. Will post a summary later. Simon.
