I decided to take advantage of the claimed resolution of 700x400 with 4 colors (or 640x400 with 16 colors) on the tecmar graphics board. The reason was that the experimental data looked distorted in the ibm cga hi-res mode (640x200). I used the short basic program supplied in the manual to play it around. The resolution looked good. However, The image showed flicker once a while and my eye couldn't stand it for a long (1~2 min) time. Is this the froblem with tecmar board? Anyway to avoid it ? Also I used "ESC [ Q" plus a charater to see the text on the screen. It is too small in those high resolution mode. Anyway to enlarge it ? My hardware configurations: IBM-PC DOS 2.0 with device driver supplied by tecmar (General Terminal Emulation software v4.0) Tecmar graphics board configured as ibm cga mode.
