I've seen a few ads for what looks like a great color graphics monitor for people (like us) who want to do development on various graphics boards. A brief summary of the ad content: - NEC Multisync monitor, $799 list - adjusts to scan rates from 15.75 to 35 KHz - handles up to 800h x 560v resolution - handles both TTL and Analog RGB (this one is new to me, at least for the $!) - In the PC arena, handles at least the CGA, EGA and PGA My questions: - Has anybody seen one of these in action, especially at hi res (640x480 or better)? Does it look pretty good? Are the dots sharp? - What is the dot resolution? .31mm or better? - Does it really handle ANYTHING in the 15.75 to 35 KHz range? (e.g. Sigma Color 400 board is incompatible with C/E/P-GA boards, at 640x400). THIS IS NOT AN AD. I have no affiliation with NEC. Just want to get advice before we buy! If there is interest, I'll summarize to the net (and give our opinion if we get one). -- OOO __| ___ Peter Holzmann, Octopus Enterprises OOOOOOO___/ _______ USPS: 19611 La Mar Court, Cupertino, CA 95014 OOOOO \___/ UUCP: {hplabs!hpdsd, pyramid}!octopus!pete ___| \_____ Phone: 408/996-7746
