Graphics Interface and Vision Interface 86
==========================================


Computer Graphics and Computer Vision will be the themes of two companion
conferences to be held together in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from
Monday May 26 to Friday May 30th 1986.  The joint conferences plan two days of
tutorials (May 26-27) and three days of technical sessions (May 28-30). The
technical sessions will feature 40 papers on computer graphics and 28 papers on
computer vision.  The topics of the Graphics Interface technical sessions
include Animation, Algorithms, Applications, Computer Graphics and AI,
Display Algorithms, Hardware, Human Animation, Modelling, and User Interfaces.
The session topics for Vision Interface are:  Image Processing and Pattern
Recognition, Perception/Computational Vision, Remote Sensing and 
Geo-Information, Robotics, Vision/Graphics Interface and Applications.

There will also be a Film and Video Show on the evening of May 28.
Submissions for the Film and Video Show should be sent to Severin Gaudet,
School of Computing Science, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, B.C. V5A 1S6
(604-291-4370) before May 1.

Since the joint conferences are being held in Vancouver during the Expo86 
World's Fair, early registration is advised.  A block of accommodation has 
been reserved at the University of British Columbia where the joint conferences
are being held.
