I've been writing some elementary ray-tracing programs based on Whitted (communications of the ACM june 1980). Since I haven't been a very regular reader of this group in the past, I wondered if there have been any postings of such sources in the recent past. If anyone remembers such stuff, could s/he please forward the stuff to me, and if not, would there be any interest in seeing such sources here? I warn you that this is fairly simple-minded stuff, but is at least a starting place for someone who doesn't know too much and wouldn't mind hacking at it a bit more to make more sophisticated images.
