This is an apology to readers of the UNIX-EMACS list. I am sorry that my posting on a "btl emacs" reached you. I posted it to the USENET net.emacs category, which carried information about various emacs implementations. I did not realize that it was being gatewayed into the arpanet list, which has up until this point contained only Gosling's emacs information. I had thought that information off the Arpanet was being diverted into net.emacs, but it seems to be the other way around. I do not intend to use the list as a forum for discussion, as there is a separate forum internal to Bell Labs for such discussion.
