From: Marshall Rose <mrose.uci@Rand-Relay> Anyone out there tried any of this? I think the message following is self-explanatory, but if not, mail to me (not the list), and I'll supply more details. Thanks, /mtr ------- Forwarded Message From: Frank Tadman <tadman@UCI> Date: 10 Oct 83 20:13:54 PDT (Mon) To: bug-emacs@UCI Subject: Emacs and multiple screens I just put a $6.95 RAM chip in my terminal and it now has two screens of memory. I could easily add two more pages. I'm wondering if there is any easy way that emacs could handle multiple screens. Emacs would have several logical screens each containing one or more windows. If you selected a window that was on a screen other than the current one, emacs would change the current screen and send the proper escape sequence to the terminal to switch its display. This is similar to a recursive edit except that the screens would not need to be selected in LIFO order and emacs would not need to refresh the display when switching screens. Also, is bug-emacs the place to send emacs questions or is there some other address? ------- End of Forwarded Message
