[net.emacs] emacs under 4.2BSD

bobr@teklds.UUCP (Robert Reed) (11/11/83)

We just got the new Unipress 4.2BSD emacs tape and have it running on our
system. There were some minor problems with the changes in signal handling
and still remain some potentially major problems with subprocess support.
Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? It appears the Unipress
4.2 release is aimed at SUN terminals, and that it still might have some
lingering remains of multiplexed file support in mchan.c (kill_processes
appears to be one nexus of the problems we currently have).
