The Dead played three general-admission dance concerts at Nassau Coliseum,
Long Island, NY, in March of 1973. I believe the dates were 3/15,16, and 19.
I went to the second of the three. It was my first Dead show. I went in
knowing exactly ZERO about this band. In fact, they played "Truckin'" and
I didn't recognize it. Anyway, this concert was so amazing that it changed
my life. I became an instant Deadhead, and have been one ever since.

The trouble is, for the last 12 years, I have been looking for a tape
of this show, with no luck! With all the Deadheads I have met and all
the tape lists I have seen, this show has not turned up! I even advertised
for it in Dead Relix a few years back.

So, the questions I pose to all you net.music.dead 'ers are: 1) What
happened to the tapes of this cosmic concert? 2) Can anybody out there
help me find one?

Addendum

Because of excessive drug busts, the Dead abstained from Nassau
Coliseum for six years. The next time they played there, (Jan., 1979), they
played "Dark Star" and "St. Stephen".
