[net.emacs] emacs EDT emulator for UNIX/VMS

Ho-hum, not ANOTHER EDT emulator...

So, if anyone is interested in the "definitive" EDT emulator,
I'd be happy to send a copy of mine. (It is too big for net.sources)

It does everything the EDT keypad does (with two minor exceptions) and
adds those esoteric EMACS functions that any brain-damaged EDT lover
needs. Most useful is the full EDT-like HELP facility when the user
hits that ole PF2 key. Also the ^K key definition, delete/undelete,
vanilla emacs bindings at a keystroke, replace (overstrike) mode,
and the all-useful VT-100 graphics mode.

Perfect for installations running novice users. I have VMS and UNIX
(UniPress) versions. The two versions are virtually identical,
so you can have (gasp) the same editing environment on both OS. (If
you are like us and have idiots on both sides of the room!)

I can send the stuff electronically, but you'll have to build the
help database yourself. Or, you can simply send a tape, specify
which system, and I'll mail it back with the stuff 'ready to run'.

We've been using it about a year now, and people are pretty happy...
(Hey! I even use it! But I accidentally learned EDT before emacs...)
