[net.emacs] emacs using mice on the sun

beard@unc.UUCP (David Beard) (02/12/85)

Does anyone know of a version of emacs that runs on sun work-stations which
use the mouse?

We are currently evaluating several Sun work stations here at Chapel Hill.
A version of EMACS using a mouse was found on the disk, but it was designed
for another sort of work station.

The latest version of Unipress Emacs uses the mouse on the sun. It uses
SunWindows, with different fonts (only one at a time, sigh) and knows
how to resize itself when the window sizes change.
This code was originally from Sun, hacked over by folks at Rice, and
then by us. We'll be hacking quite a bit on this over the next few
months...
