First of all, I'd like to give Unipress high marks for responding to bug reports and so forth. Now the bad news, v2 has been massively restructured internally compared to 264. All sorts of things that we were using in 264 have, in v2, been moved out of the normal build and into "unsupported" subdirectories. No documentation about what has moved, naturally. Since I'd like installing a new version to be a nearly invisible transition as far as our users are concerned, this means a LOT of time snuffling thru the subdirectories and files, looking to see what's vanished and so forth so I can get it back together. I spent a day and a half on this awhile back, and still haven't finished. The format of the sources also changed drastically, so doing diffs is only a minute amount of help. If it didn't have CBREAK mode (which we need for Rainbows) and the fix for overwriting in the minibuff, I would have just punted it and stayed with 264.....
