Problem: I am running CCA Emacs version 162.43 under VAX/VMS version 4.something. Whenever I try to write a named keyboard macro via the Meta-x Write Kbd Macro command it dumps me back to VMS. It creates the library file and places the name of the macro in the file. If I try to load the macro library via the Meta-x Load Kbd Macro Library command it dosen't complain but it dosen't load anything in. It dosen't complete the name of the macro under Meta-x or seem to know that this macro exists. What's wrong??? I need to load macros into the editor. The macros are about 5-8 commands long. Is this a bug in Emacs? If anyone from CCA reads this DON'T wait for the bug report to reply. If this problem can't be fixed can the macros be defined in the emacsinit file and be bound to a key. If so , how. As an aside does this version support Elisp. If so, How does the minibuffer work. Can I write my own functions to use with this emacs. The manual I have is the "CCA EMACS Manual for VMS Users" and it doesn't address complex customization. Any suggestions will be very, very welcome. John P.
