<sacrificial line for the line eater bug, is he still around?> We received GNU emacs ver 15.34 a couple weeks ago. After a lot of weeding out the BSD dependencies, it now compiles and links on our version of system V release 2 (with the help of a few stubs). Luckly, we support the socket() system call on our V.2 release, long variable names, alloca, etc. This sucker sure is big, about a half a megabyte on our Dual systems. Anyway, I hope to have a minimally working version in a few weeks. I only get to work on it a couple of hours a day (10PM to midnight :-). Has anyone one else made any significant progress on a system V version? How about comparing notes. -Fred =========================================================================== Fred Fish UniSoft Systems Inc, 739 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94710 USA {ucbvax, decvax}!unisoft!fnf (415) 644 1230 TWX 11 910 366-2145 ===========================================================================
