From: Richard M. Stallman <rms@mit-prep> Celebrate our independence from Unipress! Emacs version 16, 100% Gosling-free, is now being tested at several places. It appears to work solidly on Vaxes, but some other machines have not been tested yet. People who don't mind copying fixes a few more times may want to get it from MIT-PREP now. I urge people to wait for the final version 16, coming in a few days I hope, before sending copies to places not on the Internet.
