I have an EDT emulation for GNU Emacs that is based on the EDT emulation for Gosling's Emacs sent out on the net a couple of years ago by Lynn Olson at Tektronics. This emulation was widely distributed as the file edt.ml in the maclib directory of most Emacs distributions. However, as this is my first elisp hack, I would like a few brave souls to volunteer to be guinea pigs to root out any nasties hidden in the code. I am appealing especially to those dedicated EDT phreaks who use both EDT and GnuEmacs, and are likely to spot the subtle differences between my emulation and EDT. What I would like to do is release it to a few people for testing, checking and suggestions, and then I will release it to the net. I would also be interested if some GNUrus would look at the code to see if there are some better/cleaner/faster ways of doing some of the things that I have done. If you are interested, and are the kind of EDT phreak referred to above, e-mail me and I will send you a copy of the emulator, and a (scanty) documentation file. If I don't reply, it means either your message vapourised, or I have sent it out to enough people as it is, and you can look for it shortly in all of the usual places (net.emacs net.sources...)
