This is a plea for assistance: About a week ago we received our GNU tape, containing GNU emacs version 17.64. We put it up on our VAX, running 4.2bsd and it runs fine, with only one glitch we've found so far. We have a rather bizarre terminal, a BBN BitGraph. For those of you unfortunate (:~}) souls who haven't seen this beast, it is 64 lines by 85 columns, and it is kinda slow. The problem is this: GNU emacs will not run on this terminal. When it comes up, it draws everything properly except that it puts the mode line in line 23, not line 63. Has anybody seen anything like this? does anyone have any idea how to fix it?
