I am having trouble getting MicroEMACS 3.7 to work on a PC/AT running the first release of XENIX. Two things may be the source of trouble: (1) XENIX is not listed as one of the operating systems in the estruct.h file; I'm using the V7 definition for now; and (2) I am trying to use the large program model in the C compiler, so that I can have a decent amount of buffer space. However, when I run MicroEMACS, it seems to have trouble allocating memory. (When I invoked "help", it was able to take in less than half a screenful of text and then gave an "unable to allocate 48 bytes" message.) Can someone out there reveal the secrets to successfully compiling it under XENIX? Thanks in advance. Jim Tubman (From the account of Tim Brecht)
