Hi folks - I just put up gnuemacs 17.61 on a 4.3 VAX750. I also have the same gnuemacs running on an Ultrix 1.2 VAX785. Starting a shell window on the Ultrix system works just as it should. Starting a shell window on the 4.3 system starts, but the RET key doesn't have the binding to send-enter-to-the-shell. It is in the shell.el file, it is also in a .emacs startup file. If you type it in manually (the define-key) it works correctly - it just doesn't seem to take effect from a startup file. However as I said, it works just swimmingly on the Ultrix system.
