From: rms@PREP.AI.MIT.EDU (Richard M. Stallman) People have asked me to post a list of ports that have been done or are being done. VMS support is merged into version 18 and I have tested it somewhat. TI/LMI Nu support works. IBM RT, Wicat, Masscomp and Gould changes are merged but not tested. GEC 93 has partial changes merged but they need some work. AT&T 3b20 support is merged but not tested. The person who contributed the changes says: Emacs will probably not work with certain kernel constants too small. In param.h CDLIMIT should be at least (1L << 12) in order to allow processes to write up to 2 Mbyte files. In seg.h NSEGP and STACKSEG should be at least 16 and 4 respectively to allow processes with total size of up to 2Mbytes. Does this mean that sites without Unix sources can't win? The 3b20 code does not work on the 3b5! The only other ports I have heard people are working on are for NEC and Integrated Solutions (?) machines.
