------- As part of my GNU initialization, I'm trying to bring up rmail. I've tried various things, most involving the line (rmail) as the last line of the file. I've tried (load)'ing it first, running execute-command on it, and so forth. rmail does start up, but it never comes up in rmail-mode. I can type "ESC-X rmail-mode" and then it works properly, but that's no better than typing "ESC-X rmail" to get the whole thing. I have included the (rmail-mode) command after the (rmail) command in the .emacs file, but it has no effect. Does anyone know why this doesn't work right, and how it can be fixed? ------ Dan Frank Q: What's the difference between an Apple MacIntosh and an Etch-A-Sketch? A: You don't have to shake the Mac to clear the screen.
