About two weeks ago I posted an announcement on the availability of a DRAFT White Paper on Tape Allocation and Mounting Under VMS. The response was gratifying. Many people responded with requests and suggestions. As part of the process of developing a DECUS White Paper and presenting it to DEC as an official position or request of the Commercial Working Group of the VAX SIG, it is necessary to tell DEC how many and what type of sites participated in its development and/or agreed with its contents. I can not determine how many people acquired copies of the paper via ftp nor can I tell if you disagree or agree with its contents. If you have made comments or simply agree with the contents of the paper, please let me know: 1) The type of site you represent (Educational, Commercial, etc), 2) The number and types of machines you have, 3) The number and types of tape drives you have, 4) A general statement of whether you agree, disagree, whatever with the paper. ----- Clyde T.
