A few comments on Chris Retterath's Ontario flames:
It's cars with MIRRORED windows that you can't drive,
tinted windows are perfectly legal (although equivalent-
to-mirrored tints are illegal). Check out my car (or
any other recently made one) and you'll see the tint.
The reasoning has to do with safety, not privacy.
I don't recall any police organizations lobbying against
the constitution; at least not in public. Anyway, your
flames about the constitution seem actually to be a
revelation concerning the vast improvements it has brought.
Did you know that the profit of the Liquor (no c) Control
Board of Ontario last year saved you $555 million in
taxes that the province would otherwise have collected
from you? Isn't it a better thing that these "taxes" are
voluntary? As a matter of fact, the LCBO seems an
incredibly fair way to "tax" the people, since the rich
end up paying much more than the poor.
>From the tone of your rantings, no wonder you feel slighted
when asked what you're up to by a police officer. You'd feel
slighted if (s)he was 5'4" and kissed you.
:+) Goodnight, Chris.
Jim.
