It seems that last night two large files of 40,000 and 34,000 bytes tried to come through site sask. There is a bug in the mailer which seems to restrict files to 32767 bytes in length, hence these files were lost. We have decided that the best way to handle this is throw out the 11/70 that presently handles mail and install a 11/780. No changes should be perceived by our uucp partners. Whoever sent the files may wish to break them up and resend them until the problem is solved. Sorry. -derek andrew
