[can.general] Colour and Computer Graphics - 1986

samackay@watcgl.UUCP (Steve MacKay) (03/19/84)

The AIC (international organization for the study of all aspects
of colour) is proposing to have its interim meeting in central
Canada (Toronto is the first site suggested; others are possible.)
sometime in the early summer of 1986. The proposed topic for the
meeting is the use of colour in VDU's/computer graphics, and they
hope that the meeting can serve as an opportunity for people in
computer graphics to establish personal and/or working relationships
with people working in more traditional aspects of colour science.

The meeting will probably follow the normal format of scientific
meetings (invited and contributed papers, panels, etc), and will
probably be about two days in length. It has been suggested that
the meeting might coincide with the first two days of Graphics
Interface '86.

Are there people out there thinking this far ahead?
Are there people out there in whom this idea strikes a spark?
Are there people out there with random comments?

If there are, please send your names, ideas, etc to
