I am interested in tapes/records with with either of these two songs on them. I don't recall any of the words to Lindy, 'though I know it is on some dead bootleg (historic dead?). I am not sure whether the Dead proper have ever done "Can't Come Down" (in fact that might not be the name of the song). A few lyrics that I can remember are below. Almost seems like Mothers of invention X Grateful Dead. I'm flying down deserted streets wrapped in mother's winding sheets asbestos boots on flaming feet dreaming of ??? when uniforms on nightime beats ask where I'm going and what I eat I answer them with a voice so sweet Refrain: I can't come down It's plain to see I can't come down I've been set free Who you are and what you do it makes no difference to me ... I say "hey" to the man with the funny hat ... Any info concerning these two songs would be appreciated. Please mail me the information (if there is enough interest I will post what I get). BTW, were there net.dead I would have cross posted this to net.music anyway. [to Rich, why didn't the creation of net.tv.drwho or net.movies.sw cause all the problems that net.dead would create?] --Thanks in advance Cliff [Matthews] {purdue, cmcl2, ihnp4}!lanl!unmvax!cliff {csu-cs, pur-ee, convex, gatech, ucbvax}!unmvax!cliff 4744 Trumbull S.E. - Albuquerque NM 87108 - (505) 265-9143
