A relative of mine who is a tax consultant has a client who
has developed a software package for keeping track of maintenance
schedules for airplanes. The package is expensive, as there is
a fairly small market for it (companies with 5 planes or more,
something like that). This fellow is an engineer who doesn't
really want to do all the marketing, and is looking for someone
who would buy the package for the marketing rights, or who would
take on all the marketing for a fee, something like that. I've
been asked if I can point this person in the right direction.
Does anyone know where to start looking?
It seems to me it's not a venture capitalist, or a marketing
agency, or a software publisher that's needed, but something
with some of the attributes of all of those. Any suggestions
for directions to look, or referrals to particular names,
would be appreciated.
