_Special People Magazine_ is a magazine for the handicapped that is starting because of a perception that too many magazines for the handicapped read like medical journals or service only a specific group of handicapped people. _Special People Magazine_ is meant to appeal to handicapped people of all descriptions (from amputees, to the blind, to diabetics); and it will focus on the stories handicapped people have to tell, what handicapped people think would improve their condition and outstanding accomplishments and achievements by handicapped people. It is hoped that this magazine will offer pleasure to its readership and, possibly, serve as a voice for the handicapped to the rest of the world. _Special People Magazine_ is non-profit and it will be sent to anyone who is interested, handicapped or not, free of charge. At this time, the magazine is in need of expanding its list of subscribers so be sure and send your requests for subscription to chris@graham.uucp or Chris Graham ON 1: 223/228. Chris never has much of an opportunity to read usenet news so uucp capable people should send all replies to chris@graham.uucp (...!uunet!mnetor!lsuc!graham!chris). When you send in your subscription request, be sure to specify what your particular condition is to help the magazine best serve its readership. And also be sure to include your preference between an electronic version or a printed version, or a braille version, as well as the relevant address. The magazine is also in need of articles so mail them to the same address also. Articles written by the handicapped themselves are *especially* welcome. Special People's paper-mail address is: Special People Magazine P.O. Box 396 Thornhill, Ontario, Canada L3T 4A2
