From: Stewart M. Clamen <clamen@CS.CMU.EDU> It used to be the case that the TIME you got in Canada was essentially the same as the one you get in the US. In the past year, however, I have noticed a significant change. I am not positive (because I've never bought a TIME outside of North America), but it looks like the Canadian TIME is the World edition rather than the US one. As an example, I remember just before the Seoul Games, my parents' TIME (in Canada) had an insert about various athletes, which was actually an excerpt from Sports Illustrated (another TIME/LIFE publication)! My TIME (in Pittsburgh) didn't have it at all. I have often noticed, when I go home to visit, that the covers of the two editions differ as well. Often the US edition will some "second-tier" American personality on the cover, while the "Canadian" edition has some world leader. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stewart M.
