The National capital Airshow will be taking place Sat. and
Sun. July 22 and 23 at the Carp Airport, located a few minutes
west of Ottawa.
Among the aircraft on display will be:
Avro Lancaster (one of 2 flying in the world)
Hawker Hurricane Corsair Fiesler Storch
4 F16 Falcons 2 F4 Phantoms 2 A10 Warthogs
T33 Shooting Star Tracker (a farewell performance)
KC-135 tanker Canadair CL215 water bomber
(there are others, my memory fails me :-} )
There will be a wing-walking display, and an aerobatic performance
of inverted flight, cutting a ribbon 5 meters above the ground.
There will also be helicopter displays.
Souvenirs will be on sale. Proceeds go to the Ontario Special
Olympics, Ottawa Chapter. Admission: Adults $7, Children $3
Gates open at 9 AM, show starts at 1 PM.
