Further to my search for the perfect winnie, and my failures, I have uncovered something which you may find attrative. Wetern Dynex are doing a special offer of up to TWO WD505 drives for US$495.oo each !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Western are at 3536 West Osborn Road Pheonix AZ 85019 (602) 269 6401 Contact is Christine Flaherty in Marketing. These are %.25" 5Mbyte Cartridge drives with ST506 interfaces. They appear as if they are gigantic 5.25" floppies, but the disks are more expensive (??? $50 ????) Strikes me as a good and easy intro to hard disks for CP/M types or as a back-up system. Hey, anyone going for MARC ?? I would also be grateful if anyone could dig out a ST506 interface specification and mail it to me here at HCR.
