Graftrax 80 is a set of 3 ROMs that plug into an Epson MX-80 without graphics to give it graphics ability, along with some extra fancies such as italics and the ability to turn compressed/expanded/etc printing on and off within a line. Graftrax 80 has since been superceded by Graftrax Plus, which comes standard on new MX-80's, RX-80's, and FX-80's. A Graftrax Plus upgrade kit costs between $75 and $110, with delivery at the lower price being as much as two weeks. Graftrax Plus adds underlining, subscripts, superscripts, and a few other things. In mid-82, I upgraded to Graftrax 80 for $110. I've just upgraded to Graftrax Plus, leaving me with a spare Graftrax 80 ROM set and manual which I'd like to sell for $30 or best offer. This is a good chance to add a bit of capability to an MX-80, including graphics, at low cost. It's a shame to see these ROMs doing nothing, so offers quite a bit less than $30 will be considered. Please reply by net mail. P. Rowley, U. Toronto P.S. I've got 67 issues of Kilobaud, including all of the first year ('77) and up to some '82 issues. $30 or best offer to an individual, free to a school. Must be picked up in downtown Toronto (they're heavy!).
