I am looking for information on IBM-PC lookalikes, including name, price, performance, problems, etc. What I need to find out about are micros which run MS-DOS and which are very compatible with the IBM-PC without the high price tag. This means that they can run most of the software, and can use much of the hardware without requiring expensive modification (i.e.--to add on a hard disk drive should not cost an arm and a leg [in addition to the cost of the drive] just to bring the computer to the point where it can then use the drive). Send e-mail, and if there is enough interest I will summarize to the net. -- Geoff Loker Department of Computer Science University of Toronto Toronto, ON M5S 1A4 USENET: {ihnp4 decwrl utzoo uw-beaver}!utcsri!utai!gkloker CSNET: gkloker@toronto ARPANET: gkloker.toronto@csnet-relay
