I recently posted a request for information on a good
implementation of Forth for the Apple][ and ][e computers. The
response was overwhelming; there are obviously more Forth users (or
should I say programmers) out there than I imagined. Anyway, about 90%
of the people who responded recommended the implementation from
Micromotion. Nobody had anything bad to say about it. It seems that
Micromotion has added a number of very nice extensions which make
their Forth one of the best for the Apple. Nobody complained about the
speed.
About half of the people who responded use the Apple //e; the
other half use the ][+.
Thanks to all who responded. Many people wrote requesting
any info I received, and since the requests were numerous, I am
posting this summary in lieu of individual replies.
