A good book that picks apart FIG Forth and tells how it works is "Systems Guide to FIG Forth", by Dr. C.H. Ting. It is available from Mountain View Press (a Forth software publisher - send me mail if you want their address, of look in any issue of Forth Dimensions or maybe Dr. Dobbs.) It may be available through FIG too.
