[Me Chicken Man, You have wampum?] I had access to a record with several the episodes on it from one of the local radio stations. They were the one where he gets on board a flying saucer and makes a nergus glompum call to Lady Bird Johnson (Your coins are a lot like ours except that they say E Pluribus Glompum on them.) Another episode was when he gets kidnapped to Gary (Indiana? So that's where Gary is) and a Royal Canadian Mounty brings him his lunch. I loved 'em. -Ron

Do you remember the "Chicken Man" radio series of the late-sixties early-seventies, a thinly-veiled parody of the "Batman" genre? I don't remember too much about it, except that I think it was produced in Chicago and ended up, at least, in San Francisco on KSFO's comedy hour in the early/mid-seventies, and that it was very funny. (And of course the hero was a crime-fighter dressed in a chicken costume ...). Some members of the cast are now doing radio commercials (those particularly witty ones), including for radio advertising itself, the SF Chronicle, the SF Giants (I think -- is that them doing the `Crazy Crab' mascot commercial?), though I don't think the are exclusively local ... I am looking for any tapes of the series that you might know of or where I can get such tapes. -- Gordon A. Moffett { hplabs!nsc, decvax!sun!amd, ihnp4!dual } !proper!gam
