       West East
       S:KJ9753 S:AQT8642
       H:JT H:AQ contract 6S by east
       D:T8 D:AQ6
       C:AJT C:9 south leads KC

First I'll win the AC. Next I'll play the 8D. There are three cases:
   1) most likely North will automatically play low. I'll play low also
      and claim.
   2) if North plays the KD or JD I'll cover and claim.
   3) if North has the uncanny forsight to play the 9D(if he has it all),
then I'll resort to taking both red suit finesses(unless South
doesnt return a diamond after winning the KD in which case I'll claim).

I like my chances in this contract a lot. With perfect defense I'll make the
contract 7 out 8 times. But how many Norths do you think will cover the 8D
with the 9D? Not many.

I agree, placing hands east-west is preferable to north-south.
