East is in trouble with his discards.

If East saves 3 Hearts and only 2 Spades, South plays the Ace and 10 of
Spades. If West takes the King, a) a Spade lead gains entry to the
board and a winning Diamond finesse, b) a Heart lead makes East
eventually give South a board entry in Hearts, or East must eventually
lead Diamonds to South. If West ducks the 10 of Spades and East takes
the Queen, East again must give South a Heart board entry and/or a
successful Diamond finesse.

If East saves 2 Hearts and 3 Spades, South plays the King of Hearts. If
East ducks, South continues the Queen of Hearts, East winning. In either
case, South now has a Heart entry to the board to take the winning
Diamond finesse.
