R:most everyone had the same comments with regard to 3H and 4H calls.
The 4H bidders felt partner would never raise holding KS or two red
jacks. I agree. The 3H bidders felt conservatism should be better
and trusted partner to raise with the right values. I however
wouldn't hang partner by raising and punishing an aggressive 3H overcall
made to get into the auction.
E:dbl. If partner bids 3S, correct to 4H showing powerful two suiter.
This way we'll get to five diamonds when 4H is wrong.
R:it might work. But I don't trust my partners to figure this out. With my
luck they'll insist on spades.
E:3NT. Showing a red two suiter.
R:unless I have a suit of my own, thats where I'd let the contract play.
I like keeping auctions simple and avoiding confusion.

R:To me, this is a general strong takeout with no interest in playing 3C
double. Once again I dislike the confusion aspect of this call.
