E:pass-We're vulnerable, partner is a passed hand, this is IMPS.
E+C:pass-Why risk a huge penalty for a partscore.
E+C:pass-Partner will bid if he has something, otherwise there is no game.
C:pass-A misfit is likely.
R:at imps you have no business making high risk calls hoping for the best
  with no great reward prospects.

E:3S-try for game and this suit is the only likely spot.
E:3S-Partner will not take action alone holding the cards needed for game.
E:3S-Bridge is not for cowards.
C:3S-Partner is likely to have some values and some support.
R:I would estimate the chances of going for a number are not all that likely,
but I see no reason to gamble. Partner may reopen if short in clubs and
  outside values.

C:3D-You must be prepared for a heart call by partner.
C:3D-More room to show both suits if necessary.
R:if you're competing for a partscore, this is probably the way to do it.
  It leaves room to run.

C:dbl-If partner bids hearts, bid spades implying a two suiter.
R:on the four level? I would be real scared of hearing a 4H call.
