I finally finished gathering results. They are:

	+500	1H dbl	mit-vax!dann
	+400	5C	fisher!david	ucbvax!wildbill
	-50	3S	afinitc!jlc
	-150	3NT	< 3 people >
	-more < 6 people >

A compilation of the first bids were:

	pass	7
	2H	3
	3H	1
	1S	1
	3C	1

The auctions which resulted in the top scores:
	pass-1H-dbl-pass-pass-pass	(dann)
	3C-P-3S-P-4H-P-5C-P-P-P (david)
	P-1H-dbl-P-3C-P-3H-P-4C-P-4S-P-5C-P-P-P	(wildbill)

Now I was playing with a partner for the first time, and I do not
claim partner made the best bids, but everyone had to cope with the
same problems. Partner was trying to show a powerful two-suiter.
That may explain some of the bids in the various auctions. The full deal
for those who can't stand the suspense:

	S:AQJxxx
	H:
	D:AKJxx
	C:Ax
S:Kxx S:Txxx
H:AQJ9x H:xx
D:xxx D:QT9xx
C:Kx C:xx
	S:
	H:KTxxxx
	D:
	C:QJT9xxx

For the record, I was in 6C down one for 11 out of 12 matchpoints after
an opening pass.
