This is an exact quote from an IRS regulation. It
is quite a few years old, so it isn't around any more,
thank goodness. (From an addition to the 1954 tax code
made by the 1969 Tax Reform Act.)
"For the purposes of paragraph (3), an organization
described in paragraph (2) shall be deemed to include
an organization described in Sec. 501(c)(4), (5) or
(6) which would be described in paragraph (2) if it
were an organization described in Sec. 501(c)(3)."
How's that again?
