The IRS has many publications available covering many topics including office in home and office equipment (in this case computer equipment). I have an office in my home and have personal computer equipment there for business use. Even a CPA can give you a biased opinion in these areas. You can call you local IRS office and request the publication list as well as call into their tape system which has 5-15 minute talks on a variety of issues.
