RE: Comment about Judge William T. Hart in Schiff article

I also did not feel that Schiff's comments on Judge Hart were necessary
and considered deleting them. However, I am attempting to bring to
the readers of this newsgroup the total picture on the tax "rebellion"
and Schiff's views in particular, since he is the foremost "tax rebel"
in the nation at the present time. From time to time this may include
portions of his arguments that I may not agree with. Please feel free
to flame at any or all of these articles (that is part of the reason that
they are presented), but I will not censor Schiff's comments and arguments
to fit my own (or anyone else's) views.

Also, some mail I have received from net.taxes readers seems to imply
that these articles are a result of my own research into the IRS Code,
and that I do not have the qualifications for such research. These
articles are *ALL* based on the research and publications of Irwin Schiff.
The following is some background material on Schiff, from one of his
earlier books:

(From "The Biggest Con" by Irwin Schiff, copyright 1976 by Irwin Schiff)

"Irwin A. Schiff was born in New Haven, CT in 1928 and is a
graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he majored in
economics and accounting. After serving in the Army Finance
Corp, he entered the life insurance field. He earned a C.L.U.
degree in 1958, opened his own agency in 1960, and became a
licensed (N.A.S.D.) securities salesman in 1962. His extensive
business and financial dealings afforded him ample opportunity
to view first-hand the distortions, the inefficiencies, and the
hardships caused by government regulation, taxation, and economic
	 interference.

In 1968, he testified before the Senate Committee on Banking and
Currency opposing removing of gold backing from U.S. currency...

...based on the extensive nature of the Federal Government's
criminal activities and the extent to which it was subverting
the American economy, he decided in 1974 that he could no longer
	 pay Federal Income taxes..."

Irwin Schiff has not filed or paid Federal income taxes since 1974, and
has devoted his life since that time to study of the IRS Code and exposing
the scams of the Federal tax system.
