[net.taxes] Splitting up RRSP's

cjsgro@watrose.UUCP (cjsgro) (03/19/85)

Does anyoe know if it is possible to split up an RRSP into several little
RRSPs? If so, what are the costs, complications, etc. involved?
Please reply by mail. Thanks.

Any time you withdraw funds from an RRSP, the entire plan must
be closed out. But you can transfer any of that amount into
another plan without tax cost. Whether there will be service
charges depends on the institution.

Anyone who wants professional help with tax returns or tax planning
(it's never too early in the year to start tax planning), feel free
to drop me a line - I can refer you to a good C.A. who's on the net.
