> Every December, Academic Information Service, Inc., sends an ad for a 350-page > book called the "198X Tax Guide for Engineers" (this year, X=6), at $21.95 + > $2.30 postage and handling. In my modest opinion. . . ripoff The book is 15.00 plus 2.30 postage and handling more expensive than the Commerce Clearing House Master Tax Guide (call CCH bookstore in Manhattan to order (212) 730-0909). The CCH MTG is a "primary" source. The Academic I.S. material is "secondary" restatements of primary sources (most tax guides are secondary). More chances for error and *never* is as comprehensive. -- [opinions are obviously only my own; Terry not necessarily those of my asso- ihnp4!whuts!6243tes ciates or those of my employer.] cornet 232-2899
