Well, It's good to be here at the begining of a new newsgroup. I would like to make a plea to net.land for information leading to the source code for my atari 2600. I'm not looking for code to any specific games, but rather I would like to write my own games, and have access to the graphics commands. For those of you who have not taken your 2600 apart yet, there are three major parts inside. First is a 6507 CPU ( a 28 pin version of the 6502) Second is a part which appears to be a 6532, which is RAM, I/O, and timers. The last part is manufactured by OKI and has the part number MSM3980. By defalt, this is the video controller chip. If anyone has information on this chip I would be quite interested. Lastly, is the above mentioned video chip the same as in the ataria 400? I would greatly apreciate any help or information which I could get frm the folks in net.land. Please reply by the net. Thanks Keven Boyett teklabs!tekid!kevenb
